Therapy Pods from Shipping Containers

The London East Alternative Provision came to us to create a recording studio and they were so pleased with the outcome they asked us to construct Therapy Pods for their new initiative of students needing somewhere to unwind, sit to reflect on their day and receive one-to-one tuition. 

The pods were made from 20ft containers cut down to the required size of 2 x 10ft x 8ft and 1 x 14ft x 8ft. which were fully insulated and lined with white washable melamine, also fitted carpet tiles and dado trunking for easy movement of sockets and data boxes.  The outside was cladded with timber shiplap and a silver wood stain protector was applied.

The work was undertaken in the workshop and the sliding patio door with toughened glass was fitted once on site.

These pods are ideally suited for use as small offices, garden rooms or study areas which can easily be positioned into small spaces.
