We were contacted by architects responsible for the design of the luxury holiday resort UNA at Carbis Bay, St Ives, Cornwall.
The resort consists of:
- Over 100 luxury holiday villas
- 55 bedroom apartments / hotel
- Restaurants, bars, child care, shop facilities
- Indoor swimming pool, gym and spa
- LIDO
The client had a clear vision for the LIDO which includes a large outdoor pool, a paddling pool, a luxurious lounge area and a unique food and beverage facility made out of shipping containers.
The concept is to achieve a change of pace in this food and beverage area that delivers exciting attractive offers, to achieve this we proposed the food outlet to be of a ‘pop up’ nature utilising converted containers.
We at Capital UK (Capital Containers Ltd ) have provided four containers which have been converted to a bar, a cellar, a kitchen and a store.

The plastic wall and window coverings have been left on as protection whilst in Transit. 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft shipping containers, all being used to create amazing extra space for these builds above. From just single containers to multiple containers being connected together to make large structures and very modern-looking buildings.
