A Solution for a Valuable Community Hub
We were delighted to be awarded the contract to supply and convert two 40ft high cube shipping containers for The Friends of Milton Creek in Sittingbourne, to serve as a new community hub.
The scope of the work included removing the full side wall of both containers to create an open-plan area supported by structural pillars. The contract also included the installation of:
- 2m x 2.1m double-glazed fixed windows
- double personnel doors and one disabled size door
- fire exit steel door
- anti-vandal windows 900 x 900
- two electric roller shutters doors
- internal insulated plywood floor fitted over the existing container floor.
The containers were transported from the fabrication yard in Gravesend via the A2/M2 to the client’s site in Milton Creek Country Park in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Upon arrival they were unloaded and lowered onto the foundation pads for final positioning.

Making sure everything is level before joining the two units together.

Mission complete for the customer handover.
