Containers Built To Last

Containers are designed to carry up to 30 ton of cargo and to survive all the hazards a sea journey can subject them to.

The salt in seawater corrodes metal and for that reason, Shipping Containers are made from high tensile, rust resistant Cor-Ten steel.

Containers not only have to endure the constant exposure to highly corrosive salt water, but also have to survive the abuse suffered in transit. They have swung around on cranes often crashing into other containers. Sea Waves can completely crush the whole side of a container making it totally unusable.

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY

Depending on their size they are made from 2.5 to 6 ton of high tensile, rust resistant Cor-Ten Steel. Their corrugated sides improve their overall strength and durability even further. Their main structure consists of Top
Rails, bottom Rails and four corner posts. The flooring is made from highly durable Marine Plywood supported by steel bearers, called cross members, which run widthways, joining the two bottom, side rails .
